L.A. Bans Fast Food

Los Angeles approved a one-year ban yesterday on new fast-food restaurantsin the city’s Southside, blocking entry of businesses that don’t meet thecity’s nutritional specifications.
Among the restrictions, incoming restaurants cannot have "a limited menu, items prepared in advance or prepared or heated quickly…or food served in disposable wrapping or containers."
